Hi, hi!! And Happy Tuesday..
Today I'm so excited to share with you all: my feature in Voyage MIA. It's an online magazine that gives you all the latest on all things podcasts, inspiring stories, and hidden gems such as businesses and creatives you should know about.
"Miami is an incredible city - but it's so large and so vast and so diverse that all of us are missing out on tons of great people, businesses, organizations, events, and more.
VoyageMIA wants to highlight the best of the 305/786 - from freelance makeup artists that will dazzle you to the best Meetup groups in town."
It's run by Sid and Mayank. But backstory first, as always:
The two founders went to UCLA and met there. They thought about the idea of creating Voyage LA + Voyage MIA to provide web-development services to freelancers, artists, and small businesses.
"I wanted to make an impact on the world in a different way. I wanted to figure out how to help people who were like my parents, but just starting out. Sid and I started building a tool to help small businesses build their own websites, but there were already so many of those, so we stopped working on that and focused on what we felt no one was doing – telling the stories of everyday heroes. We wanted to build a platform fully focused on telling as many stories and bringing as much exposure as we could to hard-working people who were doing something entrepreneurial, creative or artistic with their lives." What I love most about VoyageMIA is that they're so creative. They do everything via email. They interview you and take your responses and put it into an article online.
