Here’s a little refresh of my experience of the time I went to a Japanese head spa to get a scalp treatment. It was DREAMY! It was seriously different than any experience I’ve ever had. It's the most divine and detailed spa experience ever!
My scalp has so much product build up, dryness and redness on my scalp due to psoriasis.
So this was very much needed!!
The head spa session starts off with a scalp examination where they take a microscopic camera and go through your scalp to see your before (take photos) and also examine your scalp and the issues you may have and to consult the type of hair you have and the condition of it (ex: dryness, oiliness, sensitivity etc.)
The treatment then starts with a scalp massage with different nourishing oils and serums. Then, multiple different washes, masks, massages, soaks and hot steams. This all helps to open up hair follicles which allows for better absorption of the treatment products used.
This step is followed by a deep cleansing shampoo to get rid the scalp of any buildup and impurities. Then comes the main event – a customized treatment mask that addresses your specific hair concerns, whether it’s dryness, dandruff, or damage from styling products.
As the mask works its magic, you’ll be treated to another round of blissful scalp massage, easing tension and promoting relaxation. Which is the BEST part!! It's so hard not to fall asleep.
I also got a soothing and relaxing neck massage. Over all, the experience and process of this is INCREDIBLE! I truly think every single person should get to try this out and experience the pure magic of a head spa.
FINALLY, after that incredible experience for my scalp we examine my hair and scalp after everything's been done to see the (insanely amazing) difference of my scalp and how clean, unclogged and just CLEAN my head is. (SO CRAZY to say that but once you feel the difference and see it you'll be shocked!!!) I was disgusted by seeing my scalp before the session and then seeing it after it was like weight lifted off of me because of how light my hair felt and how insanely SOFT it was too!
It's like my hair can breathe again.
So, not only was my scalp squeaky clean but it felt brand new. No more dirty hair that had build up, flaky dryness, and no shape or fullness to it. With this treatment, my hair has never looked or felt better!!
Then, I went downstairs where they own a hair salon to go get a blow out and blow dry my hair!! WHAT MORE CAN YOU ASK FOR ?! When I found out about that, I was like HELL YEAH! Of course, my hair was styled to perfection..leaving my hair so soft, full of volume and when I tell ya, my hair has never held it's shape like that before IT WAS SO SHOCKING to see! I fell in LOVE with the results and the over all experience. Before you know it I was walking the streets of Beverly Hills with so much confidence and pure happiness with how my hair looks.
It looked so good that it made me feel SO good!!!
